English Language Bible History

1522-1535 – Tyndale Biblical translations.
Referred to in this way because, while it is said to be the first biblical translation into English, it was not the “complete Bible”.

1539 – The Great Bible. The first edition of the Bible in English, commissioned by King Henry VIII.

1604-1611 – King James Bible. Interestingly (to me, anyway), this Bible contained 80 books, including the Apochrypha, which is not contained in KJV published in modernity.
